Hello, I’m Sophia, a recent graduate of the BGSU Visual Communication Technology program with a Bachelors of Science in Technology.

I realized my passion for photography and video when I was in high school, and I actively pursued it as a hobby. Equipped with my GoPro (which was a high school graduation gift) and my iPhone, I was always capturing images and videos of things that made me happy or inspired me. I bring that same energy into my work today.

Starting in 2019, I attended Plymouth State University in New Hampshire where I studied Inclusive Early Childhood Education and Psychology. I transferred to BGSU in 2021 where I continued to study education and psychology, when I fully realized it was no longer my passion. I then changed majors to VCT in order to take steps towards making my hobby my lifelong career.

Under instruction, my skills began to thrive. My career concentrations of choice are Video/Film and Web Design (Multimedia), while still harboring and love for photography and pursuing it professionally whenever I can.

I now am preparing for my long term career. I don’t know where life is going to lead me, but I hope I can take it by the hand, smiling the whole way through.
